Let's face it, education in America is expensive. So expense, in fact, that many people are deterred from ever pursuing higher education. As a first-generation student, the expenses of education are never far from my mind.
As an undergraduate student I had some financial support from my family. I also worked 3 part time jobs and took nearly $30,000 in student loan debt. So I knew going into my graduate education that I was not willing to take on any more debt.
Currently, I am funding my education with a part-time job, Instagram monetization, a small ETSY shop, and support from my institution. Other options for financial support can include fellowships, grants, assistantships, scholarships, and more. Opportunities for financial support are abundant for students if you just know how to look for them!
Until next time...
